Compliance & Safety Management is located in Arvada, Colorado, a suburb of metro Denver. We have serviced the Front Range area for over ten years.
In January of 2003, Rick Hiltman opened Compliance & Safety Management, a consulting firm focusing on DOT, OSHA, EPA, and HazMat compliance.
Rick has over three decades of combined experience working for both law enforcement and the private sector. His background encompasses a wide variety of Criminal Justice arenas including hazardous materials, emergency response, critical incident management, crisis intervention, accident investigations, and much more.
Rick has been certified as a Technical Instructor in the disciplines of Criminal Justice and Security Management from the Colorado Board of Community Colleges. He has also received certifications as a Professional Safety Supervisor and as a Professional Fleet Safety Manager. Also, he is §49 CFR Part 40 qualified as a Certified Professional Collector and as a Breath Alcohol Technician.
OSHA has authorized Rick to teach OSHA 10-Hour and 30-Hour General Industry Training Programs. He also has completed OSHA training in Safety Program Development and Electrical Safety. In 2000, Rick received his certifications in Hazardous Materials Operations from the Colorado Division of Fire Safety. And in 2002, he completed the OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER program. Rick also became an I.A.F.F. Qualified HazMat Technician Instructor in 2003.
From 1996 through 2006, Rick served on the board of Directors for the Rocky Mountain HazMat Association (RMHMA). He is a member of the Colorado Motor Carriers Safety Council (CMCA), Colorado Safety Association (CSA), National Fire Prevention Association, and Drug & Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA). Previously he has served in the American Society Industrial Security (ASIS).
